AirHelp - Check Your Flight Compensation
Was your flight delayed, cancelled, or were you denied boarding? AirHelp tells you in seconds whether you're owed compensation and roughly how much, directly in Claude. Describe what happened and the app walks you through a short guided flow: it finds your route, pinpoints your exact flight, and estimates your payout. When you're eligible, you can start your claim right from the result screen.
What you can ask
Describe your disrupted flight in natural language. You can give as much or as little detail as you have, and the app fills in the rest through a guided flow. Here are some examples:
"My flight from London to New York a few weeks ago was delayed by around four hours. Am I owed anything?" Opens the guided flow: you confirm the airports, pick the date, then choose your exact flight from the list. The app prices it and shows whether you're eligible.
"Air France AF1580 Paris to London on 6 August, delayed 4 hours." When you name the flight number and date up front, the app skips ahead: it finds that specific flight and takes you straight to the estimate.
"I was bumped off flight IB3178 from Madrid to Rome on 20 June because it was overbooked. Do I have a claim?" Denied boarding is covered. The app identifies the flight and checks your eligibility under the relevant regulation.
"My flight from Frankfurt to Chicago last month was cancelled and they only told me the day before. What can I claim?" Cancellations are priced on how much notice you were given. The app asks when you were told, then shows the outcome.
"J'ai raté ma correspondance à Londres pour New York parce que le premier vol avait du retard." Connecting journeys with missed connections are covered too. The app walks you through each leg, then prices the whole trip as a single claim.
"Mein Flug von München nach Rom letzte Woche hatte über drei Stunden Verspätung. Wie viel steht mir zu?" The widget responds in the language you write in, so you can ask in your own words.
You can also start without typing the details. Upload a photo of your boarding pass or a shot of the departures board, and Claude reads the flight, route, and date off the image, then runs the same flow.
How to start
There are three ways to begin, and they all lead to the same guided flow:
Tell Claude about the flight in a message (route, date, what went wrong).
Upload your boarding pass and let Claude read the details.
Photograph the departures board if that's what you have in front of you.
What you get back
An interactive widget guides you through a few quick steps:
Airports — confirm your departure and arrival. When a city has more than one airport (New York has JFK, EWR, and LGA), you pick the right one. For connecting trips, you set your origin, each connection hub, and your final destination up front.
Date — choose the day you flew, with quick shortcuts for yesterday and today.
Flight — pick your exact flight from that day's list, each row showing the airline, flight number, and times. If several airlines appear, a filter helps you narrow down. If a single flight matches, the app skips straight ahead.
Result — your eligibility and, when available, an estimated compensation amount with the regulation that applies.
If the app detects a recorded delay, it shows you the flight and estimate and asks you to confirm the details are correct. If the delay isn't on record yet (for a very recent flight), it asks how late you were so it can price the claim.
When you're eligible, the result screen shows your estimated compensation and a button to complete your claim on AirHelp. That opens an AirHelp page pre-filled from your flight, where you add your personal details and submit. When you're not eligible, the app explains why and points you to the AirHelp app to keep an eye on future flights.
Good to know
Flight compensation only — the app checks and starts compensation claims for disrupted flights. It does not book or price tickets, handle baggage or travel-insurance claims, show real-time flight status or gates, or plan trips.
Three disruption types — delays, cancellations, and denied boarding.
No account needed to check — checking your eligibility and estimate works immediately, with no login. You only enter personal details later, on AirHelp's site, when you decide to file.
You finish on AirHelp — the app hands off to AirHelp to collect your personal information and submit the claim. Recheck and submission always happen there, never inside the chat.
Estimates, not final decisions — amounts shown are estimates based on your route, flight, and disruption. The final compensation is confirmed by AirHelp when your claim is assessed.
Multilingual — the widget responds in the language you write in (English, French, Spanish, Italian, German, Polish, Portuguese, Dutch).

Flights that fall outside these regulations are handed off to AirHelp's general claims page, where the full case can be reviewed.
